a picture for you

Note to myself: just a little reminder of how far you've come so that you don't get disappointed. This is a photo taken less than a year ago. In 6 months since you started a routine, you've lost TWENTY SIX KILOGRAMS. True, there are the occasional apple or chana binges, but there's been good discipline through a long period.

The important thing from now on when the returns start diminishing is to remember how far you've come, keep enjoying the fitness and the clothes that come with it - and to not revert to the obsessive bad habit of overdosing on anything. Also stay injury-free and keep enjoying the process so that you'll stick to it.

The way to enjoy the process is indulge in everything that fitness offers - energy, confidence, light sport and (don't hesitate to say it) new clothes! Vary the routine and toss it up between swimming and badminton or activities like that. Keep refreshing the motivation. Talk to Niti every 3 months and build muscle strength, slowly and surely. It's a 6 month plan ahead.

Well done - another 5-10 kgs to go and you'll be at your ideal weight. Not bad for someone who was ponderous and thought he had no willpower whatsoever!
